TRAILER PARKING

Please  park in the Gillin/St. Joe’s Boathouse lot, 2200 Kelly Dr, Philadelphia, PA 19129. This is reserved for trailers and their tow vehicles only. You may bring your trailers the afternoon before the regatta but please park perpendicular to the curb. Do not parallel park your trailer.

TEAM VANS AND BUSES PARKING

Buses and vans may pull into the St.Joe's lot to drop off athletes, but they must exit and park in the grandstand lot closer to the finish line.

SPECTATOR PARKING

Kelly Drive will not be closed for this regatta. All spectators must park in the lot near the grandstand. Please observe the following:

• Please do not park in the St. Joe’s Boathouse lot. This is reserved for trailers and their tow vehicles.
• Please do not park in the Temple Boathouse uproiver (north) lot.  This is reserved for referees and staff.
• Team tents may be erected on the shore of the race course. You must park your vehicles in the grandstand lot and unload supplies there. Do no park along Kelly Drive.

REFEREE, VOLUNTEER AND STAFF PARKING

Please park in the lot upriver from Temple Boathouse.

From New York/New England:

• From southbound New Jersey Turnpike (NJTP), take exit 6 to Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-276 West).
• Follow PA Turnpike to exit 25A (Mid County).
• Take this exit (keeping to the left) and follow signs to I-476 South (Chester).
• After toll booth, take I-476 South to exit 6 (junction with I-76 East, the Schuylkill Expressway) Philadelphia/Valley Forge.
• Take this exit (on right), stay in left lane of exit and follow signs for Philadelphia.
• Follow I-76 East to exit 340 on the left.
• Take this exit and stay in the left lane as you go over City Avenue Bridge across the Schuylkill River.
• Stay left and follow signs for Kelly Drive.
• The ramp will spiral downwards in a counter-clockwise direction and will merge you onto Kelly Drive, southbound.Be very careful, especially if you are pulling a boat trailer on this tight, descending curve!
• Move to right lane of Kelly Drive after merging at the bottom of the spiral.
• Take Kelly Drive past four traffic lights.
• The first buildings on the right, between the river and Kelly Drive, are the Canoe Club/Temple Boathouse and Gillin Boathouse, where all out-of-town crews launch.
• Trailers should take a right into the parking lot closer to Gillin. Spectators should continue to the grandstand lot.

From Scranton/Allentown:

• Take Northeast Extension of PA Turnpike (Route 9 South) south to exit 25 (Mid-County).
• Take this exit (keeping to the left) and follow signs to I-476 South (Chester).

From Washington, DC, Baltimore, Wilmington:

• Take I-95 North through Wilmington to Philadelphia International Airport and follow signs for Phila Center City via Route I-76 or Schuylkill Expressway
• Take exit, I-76, Schuylkill Expressway, west. This takes you across the Penrose Ave. Bridge across Schuylkill, a.k.a. Route 291.
• As soon as you come down bridge get in left lane, as you will turn left at first light onto 26th Street.
• This will take you directly onto I-76 west. Follow I-76 about 8 miles, past Boathouse Row and the race course.
• Follow I-76 West to exit 340 on the right.
• Take this exit, turn right at foot of exit and get in the left lane as you go over City Avenue Bridge across the Schuylkill River.
• Stay left and follow signs for Kelly Drive.
