Welcome back for the 17th annual Cow Island Classic Regatta which serves as the Maine State Chanpionship!  We are pleased that you have decided to attend our event.  Competitive rowing has had a place on the Androscoggin River in Brunswick since the 1880s when little Bowdoin College fielded teams that competed with Cornell, Harvard, Columbia, and other major rowing schools of the era.  In the United States at that time, horse racing and rowing were two of the most popular spectator sports.  See our regatta bulletin for details about this year's race.  We are looking forward to great competition on an outstanding venue in a state nicknamed "Vacationland" for good reason!
