Volunteering at the American Youth Cup Regatta is a great opportunity to get a whole new experience in the sport! We appreciate any time that you are able to give, if you are interested in any of the following positions, please contact Monica at regattaDirector@sarasotaCrew.org or sign up here.
Stake boat holders - this is a great chance for siblings or young athletes to get community service hours or an opportunity for parents to see the action at the start line! No experience necessary! We need at least 8 people for both sessions.
Session 1: 8:30am-12:00pm (please arrive 10 mins early)
Session 2: 12:00pm-approximately 3:30pm (shift will end when racing ends)
Dock volunteers - Ensure safety and efficiency as crews launch and return to the docks. No experience necessary! We need at least 4 volunteers per session.
Session 1: 7:15am-12:00pm
Session 2: 12:00pm-4:00pm
Parking volunteers - Work to make sure traffic flows smoothly and athletes and spectators are able to find parking.
Session 1: 6:00am-10:00am
Finish line volunteers - Assist with timing at the finish line.
Session 1: 8:30am-12:00pm
Session 2: 12:00pm-the end of racing (approx. 3:30pm)
Announcer - the voice of the regatta.
This is an all day position
The regatta cannot be successful without you! Please arrive to your volunteer position 20 minutes prior to your scheduled start time. In appreciation of your time, all volunteers will recieve complimentary food and beverages at the Sarasota Crew food tent.
