MPSRA Spring Championship

The regatta and referees will be following the USRowing 2018 Rules of Rowing.

All teams are required to abide by the rules and eligibility of participant programs and athletes as stated in the MPSRA By-Laws.

All coxswains and scullers are expected to have the skills and abilities outlined in the MPSRA Coxswain Standards.

 

For the Inclusion 2x:

Inclusion events are those where 50 percent of the crew has an eligible impairment and the other 50 percent do not.

An athlete is eligible to compete as an athlete with a disability if:

  1. he or she has a permanent, verifiable, and documented disability that limits one or major major life activities; or
  2. has been classified for Classified for Para Rowing for a physical or visual disability; or
  3. has an INAS Classification for an intellectual or cognitive impairment

Additional registration notes related to the Inclusion 2x:

  • Entries will be accepted from all junior or high school teams; the team need not be a part of the MPSRA and athletes and teams will not be held to the eligibility rules listed above.
  • If a team is submitting only entries for the Inclusion 2x, the team organization fee of $200 will be waived.
  • Medals will be awarded according to normal MPSRA guidelines; but no points towards the team sculling trophy will be given.
