All competitors must be registered with their national governing body.

Rowing Canada Rules of Racing will be followed with exception to the following variances:

Maximum mass for male lightweights = 73.5kg. Maximum mass for female lightweights = 60kg. RCA rule 2.0

Composite crews may enter in the Senior category only. RCA rule: 2.8

Events may be combined to create meaningful competition and/or to compress the schedule, with awards to the
top finishers in each category with a minimum of 2 entries. RCA rule: 2.8

Awards will be given to the winners of each category with a minimum of 2 entries

A test scale will be made available to lightweight rowers.

 

Categories

Senior - Open

U23 - A rower or coxswian may compete as under 23 until the 31st of December of the year in which he/she reaches the age of 22.

Club - Open to all ages. This is a good event for intermediate crews, masters, junior varsity, combined ages, etc.

Junior B - U17: A rower or coxswian may compete as under 17 until the 31st of December of the year in which he/she reaches the age of 16.

Junior A - U19: A rower or coxswian may compete as under 19 until the 31st of December of the year in which he/she reaches the age of 17.

Novice - Eligible athletes in your first year of rowing. Categories (Jr, U23, Club/Master) may be separated out for awards purposes or based on demand.

 

Boat Classes

1x - Novice (all), Junior B, Junior A & LWT, U23 & LWT, Senior & LWT, Club

2- - Junior A, U23, Senior

2x - Novice (all), Junior B, Junior A, U23, Senior, Club

4+ - Junior A, U23, Senior

4x-  Junior B, Junior A, U23, Senior, Club
