SITE – 9951 S. Madison St., Lemont, IL 60439

  • Parking – participants and spectators will be directed to parking by volunteers on arrival.
  • Drinking Water – There is no running water on the site.
  • Bring lawn chairs – The site is a gravel lot, bring lawn chairs to sit on.
  • Coffee and snacks tent – Coffee and snack are available, complimentary to everyone.
  • Merchandise tent – Rowing apparel for sale from our sponsor, Ride Backwards.
  • Restrooms – There is a porta potty and indoor bathrooms are available at the repair shop on the far end of the site (ask at the check-in table for location or view the site map in the parking section of this website).

COURSE
The course is 4,000 meters. Rowers race upstream against the current. The course has ample width for passing and races under one bridge.

Proceeding to the Start Line
Boats will launch and proceed down river directly to the start (approximately 4k downstream) using ONLY the CENTER opening under the bridge (see map below). Only one boat at a time will fit through the opening.

Race Course
The race is 4,000 meters long, upstream against the current. Traffic will be two ways during the race.

During the race, row through the opening on your STARBOARD side of the bridge. Only one boat at a time will fit through the opening.


 

Finish Line –
After crossing the finish line, each boat should continue paddling clear of the finish line before turning and returning to the dock.
