Rules

  • All Rowers must register at least an hour before their event starts.
  • Day of event entries will be accepted with an extra $5 fee and not guaranteed accurate seeding.
  • All athletes must pay a $25 entry fee that allows for unlimited racing, for as many categories they are able to race in.
  • Medals will be awarded to the top five finishers in each event.
  • Final Schedule will be posted 1 hour before the tentative race time, until then all times are estimates, look for a better schedule on Friday February 1st before the event.
  • Only water will be allowed inside the competition area.
  • The Concept II® Model D ergometer will be used. You may use the damper setting of your choice, but the setting may not be changed during the race. All races are 2000 meters (unless otherwise noted).
  • There will be a raffle at the event.
  • Participants will be seeded, based upon erg scores submitted on the entry form, so that each rower will compete against other rowers of comparable abilities. Final results will be amongst all heats in each event.
  • Competitors are allowed to have one person to accompany them as a coxswain to the competition area.
  • All Lightweight and Coxswain competitors must weigh-in on race day. Weigh-ins will be open all day but close an hour before each event, no rower will be permitted to weigh in after the hour mark before the start of their event. High School Lightweights cannot exceed the maximum weight restrictions (150 pounds for men; 130 pounds for women). High School Coxswains cannot exceed the maximum weight restrictions (120 lbs. for men; 110 lbs. for women). Race attire is required at weigh-in.
  • Athletes who fail to weigh in will still row on their assigned erg at their originally assigned time; the entrant will not be moved, only their results will be moved (into the Open category of their event). Coxswains will have the option to weigh-in for the Lightweight category if they fail to weigh-in at the Coxswain limit.
  • Warm-up ergs will be available for use by all competitors adjacent to the competition portion of the race area. 
  • If there are not enough rowers per heat the event will be run with other events that closely match the speed of the event. If any problems should occur with the Concept II® electronic timing system then a manual timing system will be used in its place.
  • All decisions are final and will be made solely by the Regatta Director.
