  • Hosted By: Capital Rowing Club

Twitter Updates: Follow #capsprints2021 on Twitter for information, race results, and other updates.

COVID Protocols: We are still fighting a pandemic. While we continue to see positive progress not everyone is vaccinated AND not everyone is comfortable going unmasked or may have other health reasons for donning a mask.  Please be respectful of others wishing to stay masked for any reason and allow for extra distance.  For those who have not been vaccinated, please keep your mask on and maintain distance while on site.  Please do not crowd the area near the small tent.

Parking: With the exception of adaptive rowers, officials, and others who need direct access to the boathouse due to physical limitations, all rowers and spectators must park at Maritime Plaza at 1201 M Street SE.  Please download and print the general parking pass.  We will have shuttle service to and from the boathouse starting at 7am and 1 hour after the regatta concludes.  The walk is not too bad - budget 10-15 minutes for your walk.

Scullers: If you are car-topping your boat, you may unload your boat off at the boathouse, but you must park your car in the Maritime Plaza parking lot.

Parking at the Boathouse: If you do not have a handicap tag or placard for your car, you will need a Boathouse Parking Permit. Again only adaptive rowers, officials, and others with physical limitations will be permitted to park at the boathouse.  Please ask the Parking Marshall at Maritime Plaza, Parking Marshall at the Boathouse, or the Info Desk at the Boathouse for a Boathouse Parking Permit and place this on your dashboard or you will be asked to move your car.

Food: We have a BBQ food truck coming and shaved ice as well.  Food arrives around 11/11:30.  So stick around for some good BBQ and shaved ice!

Water / Gatorade: We have a limited quantity of water and gatorade for purchase at the boathouse.  Please do bring your own water and plenty of it.

Prepare for a Warm Day: It will be summer warm, but thankfully not overly hot.  All the same, please prepare as you normally would with plenty of sunscreen, water, and a hat.  We do not have strict uniform rules so you can wear a shirt out to the start line to keep the sun off your shoulders.  All in all, take care of yourselves so you can enjoy the day.

First-Aid: We will have someone available for first-aid. If you need help, come to the Info Desk.  If you are on the water and need help, flag down an official so we can get you assistance promptly.  If you cannot find help, have someone near you dial 911 and send someone to alert the Info Desk.

Restrooms: Porta Johns, including an ADA compliant unit, are available on site along with a hand washing station.  Bathroom trailers and locker-rooms/showers will not be available during the regatta.
