6/24/21 Updates - Setting expectations for a scaled-back event in 2021 (note this is just for 2021)
- What's in and What's out: As we noted on the overview page, we are running a scaled back even this year. I know many of you are eager to get back on the race course and we're doing our best to provide a fun opportunity to race and re-connect. Given the timing of Cap Sprints and relaxation of pandemic restrictions, we were not prepared to roll with a full-on event. As such, we will not run masters events (exception M/W 1x), novice sweeps, pairs, or quads. We're watching to be sure Open events are not de facto junior events.
- Quads: We've been asked about quads. Please email us if the quad is essential for getting your club on the course. We all love a good quad :)
- Caps, Limits and Waitlists: You will note that we have made this event invitational and also put caps and limits in place. We plan on running one flight of each event, but we will consider adding more flights as we see waitlists take shape. SO...if you want to enter multiple WO8s, please DO submit your entries so we know what the demand will be and make adjustments.
Please start getting those entries in and don't hesitate to reach out to us with concerns and suggestions. We want to see you all and make this a fun first opportunity to get out on the race course.
