British Columbia Mid-Summer Regatta at Burnaby

Saturday

2000m time trial will be open to 1x’s,2x’s, and 2-‘s, both genders, in Jr, open, and masters along with mixed 2x’s. There will be no lightweight or age specific master’s categories. All boats will time trial, in seeded order, starting at 9am. Finals will be determined by time trial finish, top 6 boats will be in the A final, next 6 boats B final, etc.,  regardless of  boat class or gender. Competitors will be limited to one event and must have a dedicated shell to race, BOAT SHARING IS NOT POSSIBLE.

 

Medals will be awarded to the fastest overall finisher in the following categories:

Women and Men’s Jr.1x, 2x, 2-, Open 1x, 2x, 2-, Masters 1x, 2x, and Mixed 2x.

 

Sunday

2000m time trail. All boats will time trial, in seeded order, starting at 9am. Finals will be determined by time trial finish, top 6 boats will be in the A final, next 6 B final, etc.,  regardless of  boat class or gender. Finals will be started on time standard to make for good racing. Competitors will be limited to one event and must have a dedicated shell to race, BOAT SHARING IS NOT POSSIBLE.

 

Medals will be awarded to the fastest Men’s and Women’s jr.4x and 4x+, Open 8 and 4x, Masters 4x, and Mixed 8 and 4x.

Parking

ALL COMPETATORS, COACHES, AND SPECTATORS’ MUST PARK IN THE GRAVEL LOT and WALK INTO THE SITE (about 10 minute walk) – please see details in the directions and parking link, trailer parking map also there. You will be directed by our parking attendants.

COVID Screening

All Athlete, Coaches and Spectators must checkin with at the COVID Screening tent before entering the regatta site. This tent will be located at the end of the walking path at the BLRC parking lot. See covid plan in FAQ section.

 

We strongly recommend everyone at the event site wear a mask unless on the water.

 

Other Notes:

  • There will be no food services or drinking water available on site. Please bring your own.
  • There will be no access in the Event Pavillion, if athletes need to find shade between races, teams need to bring their own portable tents
