It's been a while....but we are looking forward to FINALLY having a regatta here in Nova Scotia! The NS Sprints will be taking place on August 14th/15th on Lake Banook. We can't wait to finally have some races and for the wider rowing community to come together (in a COVID safe way of course).

We are sending this email as a call for volunteers. As you all know, we can only do what we do because of the countless amazing volunteers here in our NS rowing community. Not a rower? That's okay! No rowing experience required. Never volunteered at a regatta? No problem, Row NS is always looking for new volunteers to help out! It's the best seat on the lake and a great way to give back. There will be a morning shift (starting at approximately 7am) and an afternoon shift (starting at approximately 11am) each day.

Here are some of the roles we will need to fill:

- Timers (x3/shift)

- Announcer (x1/shift)

- Umpire boat drivers (x2/shift)*

- Safety boat drivers (x3/shift)*

- Assistant/Buddy for safety boat driver (x3/shift)

- Help to get snacks/lunches ready for volunteers

* Must have a Boater's License/Pleasure Craft Operator's Card

If you are an athlete and will be racing, but would like to volunteer between/after racing, please let me know and once the draw comes out we can fit you in as well!
