2024 MHRC Summer #1 Learn to Row Camp, May 18th, 19th, and 20th
Summer of 2024, we will be conducting Learn to Rows, the basics of rowing for 13-18 year olds, in sculling boats and sweep boats, like the 8s featured in "Boys in the Boat".
Rowers must be at least 13 years old at start of camp.
All participants must be able to tread water for at least 10 minutes. *Those who can't meet the swim requirement, may still participate, but will be required to wear a full vested life jacket for the camp. All other participants will have a waisted life jacket provided for their use while in the boats.
All rowers must be able to hold a 25 pound weight over their head, each one is expected to be able to carry their share (weight) of the boat.
All rowers must be at least 100 pounds and no more than 230 pounds, athletes must be a minimum of 5"3 in order to row. Those under 5 foot three will be trained as coxswains. Boats have a minimum and maximum weight capacity.
Please double check the times and dates of your camp before registering your participant. We do not offer refunds. We require that they attend all days of their camps. A minimum of 4 registered participants are needed for a camp to be run.
Once you are registered, you will receive a confirmation and paperwork will be sent to you a month before the start of your camp. There will be an informational Zoom Call the week prior to the start of your session to answer any questions that you might have.
Each camper will receive a Mile High Rowing Club shirt.

All of the Mile High Rowing Club Learn-To-Row camps are conducted on the west side of the Cherry Creek State Park. We operate out of the Marina.
