ADULT REGISTRATION- NATIONAL LEARN TO ROW DAY OPEN HOUSE

Join us to celebrate Celebrate National Learn to Row Day at our Annual Open House on Long Pond Beach, 213 Long Pond Drive, Harwich. Participants will have the opportunity to meet club members, row on an ergometer (a rowing machine), view our equipment, learn about sweep and scull rowing, and try rowing on the water. Please wear tight fitting athletic clothes. Rain/high wind date June 2.

U-23 Membership

U-23 membership is open to collegiate rowers who want to keep training in the summer at Long Pond. U-23 members may have the opportunity to be assistant coaches in the youth and/or masters programs to have fee waived. A USRowing basic membership is required.

YOUTH SPRING CREW for New and Experienced Rowers

This session is for new and experienced rowers who want to improve their skills with an eye toward competition.

The spring season will be coached by Al Flanders, current rower and coach at Orleans Sweeps and Sculls since 2009. Al has coached since 1979, both high school, college and elite level. Has lived in Orleans since 2016. Long time club member and fall youth crew assistant, Patrick Otton, will assist Al throughout the season.

Practices will be held at Long Pond Beach in Harwich. Spring Crew is for new and experienced rowers, focusing on technique and conditioning to improve racing skills through land and water workouts. Attendance at practices is critical to prepare with your teammates to compete. Practices will still be held in the event of inclement weather - practice location TBD.

It is required that all participants have a whistle and neon gear to wear while on the water.

Please note that the cost for the regattas is not included in the class price.
