Welcome to the 10th annual Head of the James Regatta

River Condition Update: The river looks great. (posted Friday 10/9/2015 at 7:30am)

We invite you to join scholastic teams and junior clubs from throughout Virginia and the Mid-Atlantic region to compete on the majestic 3 mile (4800m) James River head race course.

The best part - paved parking and spectator admission are both absolutely FREE to keep your total event costs low!

The Head of the James Regatta is located at Robious Landing Park, 3800 James River Road, Midlothian, Virginia in northern Chesterfield County on the south bank of the James River. The incredible 101-acre park is adjacent to James River High School, and only 10 miles from downtown Richmond, Virginia. The site includes easy parking for team trailors, lots of shade trees for team tents, picnic shelters, permanent modern restrooms, a childrens playground, and nearly 3 miles of nature trails in addition to close access to the James River.  Food trucks will be here all day for breakfast and lunch foods.

Also, don't forget to save the date for our Spring Sprint race: 11th James River Sprints is Saturday, April 9, 2016!
