Monthly Masters Sculling Program - June

The morning sculling clinic is open to anyone with prior sculling experience who wants to improve their skills and sculling performance. Participants will be divided into two groups based on experience and fitness level. Participants can expect two coached classes per week: one class focused on skills and drills; the second focused on applying those skills and techniques in a coach-led workout. Both small groups will join together for the fitness workout and skills application. Enrollment minimum is 5 participants per month.

3 Week Learn to Row Workshops (June)

This 3-week program is open to adults with no prior rowing experience. The goal of the program is to learn the fundamentals of rowing in a fun group environment. We’ll learn the basics of the rowing stroke on the indoor rowing machines before moving onto the water in either single beginner boats or team boats depending on enrollment. No rowing experience is necessary.

Summer - Open/U23

This competitive program is an 8 week camp for athletes with collegiate rowing experience who would like to stay fit or start training again. Practices are three days a week in the late afternoons and on Saturdays. This program is open to both men and women who enjoy rowing and would like to have the opportunity to train and compete in a team environment. Racing fees are not included. Races entered will depend on availability and interest. Tues, Thur, Fri, Sat (optional practices)

Summer - U19 Youth Development Camp

This competitive program will focus on continuing training from spring season and adding races and competitive opportunities. This program is open to athletes under the age of 19 who have some experience rowing and would like to continue to build fitness, develop rowing technique and compete. This is an excellent opportunity for athletes who plan to row in college. Racing fees are not included. Races entered will depend on availability and interest.

Summer - Youth Instructional and Learn to Row

This program is open to youth in middle and high school who are new to rowing or not interested in competing. The focus for the instructional and learn to row camps are to refine rowing technique and build a fitness base. Training will be both sweep and sculling, depending on enrollment. No rowing experience is necessary.

An abridged version of our three-week program, we’ll practice the basic stroke on the indoor rowing machines before getting on the water in either single beginner boats or team boats depending on enrollment. No experience necessary and suitable for all fitness levels.

Fall Youth - Novice/Middle School

Program for Middle school and athletes who are new to rowing - both boys and girls. 4 day a week practice starting indoors to learn the basics of the rowing stroke and then getting out on the river for quality meters on the water. Training will include fitness work indoors and learning the technical aspects of rowing. No experience necessary.

Fall Youth - Varsity/High School

Program for high school athletes looking for a fall season of head racing, increasing fitness and getting miles on the Merrimack. Training will combine circuit/weight training indoors with speed work on the water. Boats will vary on numbers with options for both sculling in small boats (1x, 2x, 4x) and getting out in bigger sweep boats (4+,8+). Race fees not included in cost.
