New Bedford Popes Island Regatta
- Oct 9, 2011
- head
- Acushnet River
- New Bedford, MA (USA)
- Hosted By: New Bedford Community Rowing
The New Bedford Popes Island Regatta is a head style race with a sharp turn similar to a stake race. There are 2 bridges to pass through and lots of steering. It makes a great practice run for the Head of the Charles. Unlike most head races, our course will encircle Popes Island where visiting teams and vendors will be, so spectators will be able to watch a large portion of the race.
All Colleges and Universities need to contact Carolyn at [email protected] after entries have been submitted so the invoice can be properly adjusted to the $50 fee cap. All other organization have a fee cap of $300.
