Haddon Hammer: NJ Indoor Rowing Championships

The Haddon Hammer is an annual indoor rowing competition hosted by Haddon Township Rowing Club. The event draws hundreds of competitors from around the region. Most races are 2,000 meters. Middle School and Coxswain races are 1000 meters.

Fees:

  • Regular Fee $15 . Ends 11:59 pm February 28th
  • Late Fee: $20  From March 1st to 11:59 pm March 3rd.
  • Walk-ins  $25.  Walk-ins allowed only as space allows. Walk-ins not seeded.  

Waiver: All participants must complete online waiver by March 3rd. Click HERE to complete online waiver.

Events: Novice (boys and girls);  lightweight (boys and girls); High School Open (boys and girls); Coxswain; Middle School and Masters 

Medals & Awards

  • Medals awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each high school and middle school event.
  • First place only awarded to Masters events.
  • Haddon Hammer Award goes to high school team with fastest “boat”.  Each school can submit a boy boat and girl boat. Coaches select  2 seniors, 2 juniors, 2 sophomores, and 2 freshmen for each boat. Fastest time wins.

Lightweight:Lightweight men must not exceed 155 lbs. Lightweight women must not exceed 135 lbs.

Erg Sale: HT Rowing is selling its inventory of used Concept2 Model D units with PM5 Monitor. Purchased new, the units have been used exclusively by HT Rowing team members. Sold on a first-come, first-served basis, the ergs will be available at the conclusion of  the Club's 2023 Haddon Hammer - unless other prior arrangements have been made.  Details and order form to be posted shortly.
