Important Links

  • Communications: Please join the WhatsApp for Cromwell Cup Regatta. We will be sending event updates for the day of the regatta including if there are delays or weather concerns. You can join by clicking here.
  • Trailer Information: Please fill out the Car Top and Trailer Registration by Tuesday July 15. Form is avaiable here
  • Waiver: Please have each athlete fill out a waiver here. Athletes without a waiver will not be allowed to race.

 

Racing Format

To allow us to provide the best possible racing experience for athletes the regatta format has been changed to the following:

  • Time trials and finals for masters and some junior events will take place in the morning.
  • Time trials and finals for open/U-23 and some junior events will take place in the afternoon.
  • Top 3 times progress to final for all events, 3 or fewer entries straight to final. Para mixed inclusion time trial only.

The schedule is considered a draft until Race Day and subject to change, please check for updates. A draft is avilable on the event list page to assist with your regatta planning please keep in mind the following:

  • There will be regularly scheduled powerboat breaks.
  •  Please make sure you are at the start in time for your race or you will be excluded.

 

Special Medals and Prizes

A special medal will be awarded in the following events provided there are at least 2 entries in that event:

  • Fastest U-23 competitor in the mens and womens open 1x
  • Fastest U-23 competitor in the mens and womens open 2x
  • Fastest U-23 competitor in the mens and womens open 2-
  • Fastest U-17 competitor in the mens and womens U-19 1x
  • Fastest U-17 competitor in the mens and womens U-19 2x 

The winners of the Open 1x for men and women will each receive $200.

Eligibility 

Age

Cromwell Cup follows the US Rowing Rules for U15, U17, U19, U23 and masters rowing. 

Gender

Event registration as "Men's" and "Women's" is a limitation of the Regatta Central software and US Rowing. Cromwell Cup is not a US Rowing Regatta. Cromwell Cup welcomes all athletes to compete as their true and authentic self. 

Weigh-Ins

All athletes rowing lightweight events must weigh in on Sunday 1-2 hours prior to their first race. Any lightweight athlete who has not weighed in will be scratched from their event.  Weigh in will be at the registration table in the erg room on the second floor of the boat house. 

  • Lightweight woman: Max 130lbs, Lightweight men: Max 160lbs.  
  • Athletes may weigh in as many times as they want
  • There will be no coxswain weigh in.

Parent Child Event

Registration for the parent child races follows the parent and the child can be of any gender.

 

Registration / Wait list 

The regatta registration cap has been replaced with a per event entry cap.  We will actively manage the wait list and when possible add reallocate entries from under subscribed events to oversubscribed events.  We are most likely to add a entries when we can fill an event.
