Welcome to the Head of the Rock Regatta!

We members of the YMCA of Rock River Valley Rowing Club want to welcome you to our 30th annual regatta to be held on Sunday October 12th, 2014!  We also want to thank our sponsors and volunteers in helping put on this event.  We hope you will enjoy the competition and our fantastic rowing venue.  The club constantly strives to improve our event.  Again this year the club is utilizing professional timing services which will employ the use of FinishLynx cameras.  In addition to adding professional timing we have invested significantly in our IT infrastructure.  We will be reporting our results continually on Regatta Master reporting services at the following link:

As the sport of rowing grows, so does our event.  Last year, in terms of registrations, the Head of the Rock was the 6th largest head race in North America.  We want to continually improve our event, and in the near future, maybe even this year, we may find it necessary to close registrations so as not to exceed the number of boats that we can launch and retrieve in a day.  With this in mind we encourage you to register early.  In order to ensure your spot in our event we request that you pay by credit card at time of registration.  We will honor all registrations by college and university teams who will be paying through their schools regular channels.

PLEASE NOTE THAT EVENT TIMES IN THE EVENT LIST ARE TO SERVE AS GUIDELINES.  THE FINAL SCHEDULE WILL CHANGE AND WILL BE POSTED ONCE AVAILABLE.  Changes are necessary as factors such as the number of boats in each event will influence the final schedule.  The final schedule will be available sometime on Friday prior to the event.  Final Event Schedules will be placed in race packets.
