The rowing coaches, student-athletes, parents, and school administration of SI would like to welcome you to this year’s Peninsula Indoor Rowing Championships! 

We are honored to adopt this annual Bay Area tradition from Redwood Scullers. We look forward to a great event, and to many more to come.

Entry fees:

$20 per competitor for 2000 meter and 1000 meter events 

$10 per competitor for the 500 meter Dash events.

Late Entries: NO RACE DAY entries will be accepted.

PIRC's will be racing 30-40 ergs at once. 

Masters 1000 meter events: A Master's distance of 1000 meters is available for those rowers who are getting ready for spring racing season and are not interested in qualifying 2000 meters for the WIRC but want to line-up with the other fast masters teams in the region.

NOTE: 500 and 1000 meter events are NOT USRowing/C.R.A.S.H.-B travel stipend qualifying events.

Distances: 2000 meters, 1000 meters, 500 meters

Categories:

  • Junior Middle School (Athletes in 8th grade and below)

  • Junior Novice (Ages 18 and under and in first spring season of novice year of rowing)

  • Junior Freshmen (Athletes in 9th grade, regardless of novice status)

  • Junior Lightweight (women - 135.0 pounds, men - 165.0 pounds)

  • Junior (Ages 18 and under) and in High School

  • Junior Coxswain Dash (500m)

  • Junior Dash (500m)

  • Adaptive Rowing 2K (PR1, PR2, PR3)

  • Open and Collegiate (no restrictions)

  • Lightweight Open, Collegiate, and Masters (C.R.A.S.H.-B: women - 135 pounds, men - 165 pounds)

  • Masters 2K (Multiple age groups)

  • Masters 1K (1000 meters)

  • Open Dash (500m)

 

Additional Race Information:

  • All competitors must check in at least 45 minutes prior to your start time otherwise you will be scratched from your event.

  • All competitors must register on Regatta Central.

  • Any competitor who meets the USRowing/C.R.A.S.B.-B qualifying time for their event must follow Concept2’s instructions at https://www.concept2.com/indoor-rowers/racing/usrowing-indoor-national-championships-time-standards

  • There will be warm-up ergs. Please plan your warm-up time carefully.

  • Snacks are available via vending machine, but feel free to bring your own supplies.

  • Restrooms are available nearby.
