<p><strong>The 2022&nbsp;Ironmen Erg Classic has transitioned to an all-virtual livestream event due to the fluid COVID situation in New Jersey.&nbsp; </strong>We encourage teams who are able to compete in-person to gather and compete from your erg room, providing a video feed if feasible.</p> 
<ul> 
 <li><strong>Formerly in-person events and entries will transition to virtual races using the Time-Team platform</strong>.</li> 
 <li><strong>Virtual Mass-Start events:&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong>We will host two mass-start 2K events in which all athletes will race together and results will be published by category with virtual award certificates.&nbsp; One event will be early for US/Canada East, Brazil, UK, and European participants.&nbsp; The second event will be late in the&nbsp;day for US/Canada&nbsp;West, ANZ, and Asia/Pacific participants.&nbsp; This will allow the friends we made in last year's virtual event to race with us again!</li> 
 <li>Physical medals will be mailed to US-based teams (see Rules and Eligibility), and virtual award certificates will be sent for non-US entries.</li>

 <li>Virtual event participation:&nbsp; Concept 2 rower (any model) with PM3, PM4, or PM5 performance monitor, connected via USB-A cable to a PC, MacBook, or Chromebook with internet.&nbsp; Time-Team Homerace&nbsp;<a href="https://youtu.be/eNaJirIg7ME">demo</a>.</li>

 <li>Collegiate category&nbsp;added!</li> 
 <li>Team of 4 event where 4 rowers contribute to 2000 total meters.&nbsp; Ideal for CrossFit, recreational, or parent teams.</li> 
 <li>Para/Adaptive/Inclusive live event, plus option to participate in Virtual Mass Start events.&nbsp; Awards will be made by PR/PR2/PR3 category as specified on your entry.</li> 
 <li>Lightweight events will be offered based on weigh-in for in-person events, and on the honor system for virtual events.&nbsp;<strong><em> In-person weigh-in will be open from 8:30 AM - noon.</em></strong></li>
