Updated Event List

WEIGHS-INS - As stated in the Regatta Package, weigh-ins for each day's weight-restricted events will begin 75 minutes before the first weight-restricted event of the day and remain open for 2.5 hours. The Women's 1x (Event 1) includes a 59kg division and, as such, weigh-ins will run from 6:45am until 9:15am on both Saturday and Sunday.

We look forward to welcome you to the 2023 RowOn Championship Regatta!

Row Ontario is committed to delivering a fun and safe regatta and, as such, we recognize the importance of having experienced safety boat drivers on the course during training and racing. We are asking each participating Club to provide at least one volunteer safety boat driver. Volunteer shifts will be approximately 5.5 hours in length (7am-12:30pm, or 12:30pm-6pm), and volunteers must possess a valid Pleasure Craft Operators Card and be able to assist a crew on the water, should the need arise.

Clubs will receive a $25 credit (per volunteer safety boat driver, per shift) towards club entry fees. Please contact Kate Savage at [email protected] to sign up and ensure your Club receives the credit.

IMPORTANT INFO re: PARKING & ACCESS:

  • There is a lot of construction taking place around the race course, limiting access to the Boat House, boat park, and usual parking lots.
  • Parking at the Boat House is restricted to volunteers, officials, staff, and vehicles transporting boats.
  • All other parking – for athletes, coaches, and spectators – is limited to the City of Welland Parking lot at the corner of Colborne St. and Forks Rd. (near the Finish Tower). Please be prepared to walk from the parking lot to the boat park.
  • The Forks Rd. bridge is under construction, so the parking lot must be accessed from the west (ON-58 to Forks Rd, west of the canal).
  • There is no access to the boat park from Canal Bank Rd.

Site Maps, First Aid Plan, Safety Plan, and Weather Action Plan can be found under the Venue tab on the left.
