Lake Brantley Rowing Association is once again hosting the Novice Regatta @ Turkey Lake on February 3, 2024 . The deadline for entries is January 28, 2024. 

As most of you know, this is a great first regatta for your novices to gain the experience of spring racing. Medals will be awarded per flight; the merits of doing so will provide great excitement for a young rower in their first regatta of the season. Like always, middle school events are throughout the day!

While Novice Regatta began as a race completely focused on novice rowers, we have decided that in order to attract teams of a smaller caliber, this year's regatta (as a trial year) will also allow varsity & masters athletes to race in the afternoon. The focus will still be on the novice rowers in the morning, with all new events being placed at the end of the day.

Please work with us as this regatta has for years focused on novice and middle school athletes. So, please be patient with us as we try to revamp our regatta beyond what we have done in the past, as we still want our focus to be on the novice rowers!

** THERE WILL BE NO USE OF DRONES DURING THE EVENT **

While the regatta organizers understand the use of drones during a regatta. The Novice Regatta is one that we just can not allow drones at all. The rowers are brand new to this sport, and can be easily distracted. We appreciate your understanding.

** NO OPEN FLAME COOKING PER STATE PARK RULES **

CREWS: We need launches for this event!!

DISCOUNTED ENTRY FOR BRINGING A LAUNCH! Competing teams that can provide a fully stocked Launch (full gas tank for the start of regatta, paddle and safety vests)

WE HAVE BEEN ASKED TO HAVE EVERYONE PURCHASE PRE-PAID ENTRY TICKETS FOR INDIVIDUALS OR YOUR ENTIRE TEAM PRIOR TO ARRIVAL . 

Parking passes are bought per person, NOT CAR LOAD
