DIRECTIONS
There is heavy contstruction in downtown Grand Rapids.
From the East
Coming in to Grand Rapids, stay on 96 toward Muskegon. Do not take 196 Gerald R Ford Freeway into GR. Exit at Plainfield. Turn right. Take Plainfield to 3 Mile. Turn right. This will dead end into the park.
From the North
Take 131 to the Ann St Exit. Turn Left. Turn Left at Monroe. Proceed to the park.
PARKING
Due to increased participation, new parking rules are in effect.
There is no parking for tent supply vehicles or public parking past the park entrance.
Each team will be given one parking permit for it’s boat trailer and tow vehicle and two parking permits for their team tent supply vehicles.
BOAT TRAILERS AND TOW VEHICLES
Proceed over the Lagoon bridge through park. Your vehicle must have a permit. It may be picked up at Headquarters or from a Regatta Parking Official. Trailers must be parked after unloading north of the yellow gate on the White Pine trail.
ALL TOW VEHICLES AND BOAT TRAILERS MUST BE MOVED FROM THE PAVED ROAD TO THE DESIGNATED PARKING AREA BY 8:00 AM. NO EXCEPTIONS.
UTILITY TRAILERS AND TOW VEHICLES
Supply vehicles must have a permit to deliver supplies. Two permits will be given to each team. They are available at Headquarters beginning Friday at 2:30pm or Saturday morning from the Regatta Parking Official. Parking for trailers is once again on Guild Street. Please make sure your supply drivers know that the permits will allow them to enter Guild Street and deliver supplies ONLY. Permitted supply vehicles must NOT be left unattended at any time. Make arrangements for someone to meet the driver to move your supplies.
BUS DROP-OFFS AND PARKING
Busses must unload and park at the south park entrance at Knapp Street. It is marked as Boat Launch 1
Handicap parking is available.
GENERAL PARKING
There are 4 locations for general parking.
A - Lot access at the park entrance.
B/C - Accessed via the North Entrance off Monroe. There is walking path from these lots, over a foot bridge to the regatta site.
D - Neighborhood Street Parking. Please be courteous,
The City of Grand Rapids has asked us to reiterate the following:
City parking guidelines require:
· 3 feet from a driveway
· 15 feet from fire hydrants
· 15 feet from or within intersections
· 20 feet from marked Crosswalk
· 20 feet from railroad tracks
· 30 feet from a flashing signal, stop sign, or traffic signal
