See you Saturday!

3/10  Middle School Races:

Middle School Races will be 1000 m, as they normally are at our regatta.

We will have an in person C&C meeting for middle school coaches and coxswains at 3 pm near the docks.

3/10  Waiver Update:

Because we are using USRowing referees, we have to be sanctioned by USRowing. This also ensures that your teams are covered if you use USRowing Insurance. Everyone will have to  complete the USRowing Waiver.  A new waiver was just updated last week.  Please send this out to all of your members to complete to be compliant for 2021:

  1. Go to https://membership.usrowing.org
  2. Click on Log In under Individuals and log in using your member number and password
  3. On your profile page, click the blue button “Sign Agreement & Waiver” and follow the steps on screen
  4. Done! Thank you for signing the latest version of the waiver
  5. If you are having difficulties, call USRowing directly (609) 751-0700

We will be using the NOARA waiver.  Please direct your teams here to sign the waiver This must be completed by Saturday, March 6th. Any entries without signed waivers will be scratched.

3/9 Email to Coaches:

Our parents are hard at work getting live stream footage set up for all of your friends and families not attending the regatta (fingers crossed).  Jeff Border from Vespoli and Mark Wilson from the All American Rowing Camp will be our announcers throughout the day.

They would LOVE information & stories about your team to use during the live stream.  Please take a few moments to fill this out (or have a parent or assistant do it).

This is also a friendly reminder that waivers, line ups, scratches & payment are all due tomorrow.  After I get all of those in, I should be able to send out the schedule.

3/7 - Email to Coaches

Thanks so much for entering your team for the 2021 OARS Invitational.  We are working hard to provide a great day of racing for you.  I’ll be updating you throughout the week and hope to answer all of your questions. If there is anything I don’t cover, please shoot me an email and I’ll do my best to answer.

At this time, registration is closed.  Please take the time early in the week  to review your entries and make any scratches that you may have. We have several teams that are awaiting waitlisted entries and I’m doing my best to get everyone in to races.

This is also a good time to check your waivers and ensure that everyone has completed them.

To eliminate the need to gather in a group, we have created this VIRTUAL C&C Meeting. for you and your coxswains.   You can also just review the slide deck here: Virtual C&C Meeting Slides

We will not have a meeting on race day.  Everyone will just get into place & begin racing.  When you arrive, please send one coach to Registration to check in and receive wristbands for your coaching & support staff.

As you can imagine, parking and drop off will be a bit different this year. Please review this information from our parking team carefully. Maps are included!  It has all the details you will need to help drop off and parking run smoothly.

The parking permits can be printed/shared with your parents.  The only people who need the Coach/Staff permit should be coaches and your support staff (1 per 10 kids).
