#Stotes2023 Coaches and Coxswains Meeting

All programs (at least one per school) are expected to attend the Coaches & Coxwains Meeting on Tuesday, May 16th at 7 pm, and all coaches, coxswains, and bow persons are encouraged to attend.

  • Pre-Register HERE now (as the Webinar will cap out at a maximum level of participants).
  • You will need to register to receive the link to join.
  • Please spread the word and give your and other crews the maximum level of success by ensuring that everyone has the information they need!
  • The webinar meeting will be recorded (and a link to listen sent) to all those who register but are unable to make it.

 

Important Communication Reminders

  • Please follow and use #Stotes2023 hashtag on all social media feeds (including Twitter, Instagram, Snap etc).
  • Results will be posted at www.rowtown.org (Live link to be added as we get closer to Friday, May 19th). 
  • Twitter Feed @StotesRegatta will be the primary mode of communication as we enter the final week before the regatta and during the regatta itself.  Be sure you and others in your program are following this channel in advance for the latest updates and news (including weather alerts, etc).
  • Following Twitter, Regatta Central Regatta Bulletins will be the next mode for update.   
    • If you placed entries under a Regatta Central account that does not carry your own email, please alert the holder of that account (now) that you'll heed him/her to be on-point to forward all communication from us (email: [email protected]).
  • The Stotesbury Regatta website itself will remain static and not refresh during the regatta.

Questions to nearly 100% of the answers regarding Stotesbury will be answered here; and, we will likely not be able to answer any additional questions via email.

  • As of May 15:
    • Thursday: Sunny, 69 Degrees, Rain Chance 0%, Winds East at 8 mph
    • Friday: Mostly Sunny, 72 Degrees. Rain Chance 6%, Winds SE at 11 mph
    • Saturday: Mostly Cloudy, A Few Showers Later, 75  Degrees. Rain Chance 32%, Winds SSE at 10 mp
  • Prioritized/ Protected Events:
    • If, due to weather and/or water conditions, significant racing time is lost and it is determined that the elimination of events is the best route to complete the regatta,  the Regatta’s Core Executive Racing Committee** will  schedule racing in the priority order as above in the left column.
    • Note that, per USRowing, a regatta’s Chief Referee has final authority on the presence (or lack) of safe conditions.
  • Events for Potential Elimination:
    • If events have to be eliminated, the scratch order will be as above in the right column.
    • If additional events can be included, they will be in order from the bottom of the right column.
