Rowing Invitation - Maine Rowing Association invites single and double scullers to participate
in the Twenty-First Annual Kennebec Row 5K in Skowhegan, Maine on Saturday, July 15, 2017.  The only club affiliation you should list on your entry is "Maine Rowing Association."

Club Membership - All athletes must be members of Maine Rowing Association.  You must become a member of Maine Rowing Association on or before Sunday, July 9, 2017. 

2016 MRA Membership

Registration - After you have become a member of the Maine Rowing Association, go to the Registration Form section in the navigation bar or click HERE.  You must register for the Kennebec Row 5K on or before Sunday, July 9, 2017. 

Event Waiver Required - After you have registered, go to the Waiver section in the navigation bar or click HERE.  You must agree to the event waiver on or before Sunday, July 9, 2017.

Classes - Open to males and females; all ages; masters, open and junior.  Classes will be determined based on demographics of entrants.  USRA protocol with MRA handicap.

Boats - Racing shells, recreational shells, and alden ocean shells; singles and doubles.

Check in and Start - On event day, please plan to check in and pick up your bow number between 9:00 and 9:30 am.  Launching and landing discouraged from 10:15 a.m. until everyone has started.  First start at 10:30 am.  Start-Finish line adjacent to launch/landing.  Boats will be started every 15-30 seconds.

Rules - Overtaking boat has right of way.  If you’re being overtaken, move to the outside. At all times, please observe good sportsmanship and common sense safety principles.

Equipment - Bow balls and bow clips are required.  Bring life jackets.  Heel tie-downs or other quick release foot gear is strongly recommended.

Picnic and Prizes - We will meet adjacent to the boat launch after the event to eat (we’ll provide the food) and to announce winners and award medals.  Entry fee includes picnic for two (2).  The charge for each additional guest is $12 per person.
