6/25/16, evening: Great racing today! Full results are now posted on the 'Results' page of this site. While the departures from our typical schedule led to some uncharacteristic hiccups, we were happy to be back to Grand Rapids style relaxed and fun racing before long. It was great to see so many old and new friends, and we look forward to having you back soon.

6/24/16, 8:30 AM: We have tried to incorporate all the scratches, crew changes, and heat change requests that you have sent. A final heat sheet is now online. We can no longer make changes to this until at the regatta tomorrow... thanks for your understanding. Hot weather, cold beer, and great racing await!

6/23/16, barely: Thank you for all of your correspondence. We have uploaded a revised heat sheet, with minor schedule changes, to the 'Heat Sheet/Draw' page. We believe that the changes will result in a better regatta schedule and hope you agree. Details of the changes are available on the same page.

6/22/16: We have received lots of correspondence and will be making a few more minor schedule changes. As before, we know this may create some conflicts. We will definitely be allowing hot seating and will appreciate your patience as we work with delays on regatta day... but we also have done well with worse. Please look for a few modifications later tonight. Thank you for your comments and patience as we make these adjustments.

6/21/16: Preliminary heat sheet is posted. Check the 'Heat Sheet' page using the menu to access. Due to an unexpectedly large number of entries we have had to make some significant changes to the schedule. We have done our best to avoid equipment/rower conflicts but recognize that there may still be some issues. Please send questions or concerns by email to the regatta director at [email protected].

Join us on Saturday, June 25th for the 29th annual Grand Regatta! Once again this event will double as the rowing event for the State Games of Michigan, although rowers from any state are welcome to compete. Opening Ceremonies for the State Games are on Friday evening at the baseball stadium in Comstock Park, and include a free subway dinner, t-shirt, and swag bag for registered athletes. Rowers are welcome to park at the GRRA's boathouse for the 1 mile walk to the ballpark to avoid the $6 parking fee.

Racing is fast and fun... 1000m, raced downstream, in Riverside Park just north of downtown Grand Rapids. Events will include junior, junior novice, adult recreational, masters, and open categories.

Also, by popular demand this year, we're bringing back the best beer garden in rowing, offering ice cold beers from Founders Brewing Co. & Bell's Brewery (as well as Mike's Hard Lemonade and Coors Light), and complete with live music from Flight of Niko and The Perfect Set during the break and after racing!

Finally, stick around town for another great event in the park the following day! On Sunday, June 26 at Riverside Park, Grand River Water Festival will be taking place from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm. The festival is free and features live music, speakers, a kids tent, and a beer tent. Live music includes Seth & May, Fauxgrass, Dede and the Dreamers, and more. The speakers will go on in between bands and will briefly discuss environmental issues related to water. This is a great and free educational opportunity for all ages. Funds raised will go toward paying for the festival itself and then towards next year’s festival. More info is at www.facebook.com/grandriverwaterfestival
