Row for the Cure - Poughkeepsie
- Hosted By: Wappingers Crew Club
- 2019 Registered Regatta
The Row for the Cure - Poughkeepsie is organized by Wappingers Crew Club with the support of the members of Hudson Valley Rowing League and Hudson River Rowing Association.
Wappingers Crew Club was organized in 2004 for the purpose of promoting and supporting the sport of rowing (or “crew”) for students enrolled in 7-12 grades in the Wappingers Central School District. We are a parent and student run organization that is self-supporting. We are an approved club within the Wappingers Central School District. The district has supported us through transportation.
2019 will be the 12th year we have hosted a Row for the Cure. The spirit of this event is to enjoy friendly competition and raise donations to support Susan G. Komen's mission:
A world without breast cancer.
Save lives by meeting the most critical needs in our communities and investing in breakthrough research to prevent and cure breast cancer.
Reduce the current number of breast cancer deaths by 50% in the U.S. by 2026.
