Unfortunately, we have had to make the difficult decision to cancel the regatta this weekend. The decision to hold a regatta is always made with the safety of participants top of mind, both on and off the water.  As you may be aware, the Argonaut Rowing Club is currently undergoing extensive renovations to its boathouse and the construction is not where we had hoped it would be in time for this regatta, to the extent that it would impair your ability as a participant to enjoy a fun and competitive regatta experience.  Combined with the regatta’s lower than anticipated entry numbers, ROWONTARIO—in consultation with the local organizing committee from Argos—has decided not to run the regatta this year, but is looking forward to the rest of the Trillium Chase series events scheduled between now and November.

CHALLENGE #2: Trillium Stake Race 

The Trillium Stake Race will take place at the Argonaut Rowing Club, May 4th, 2019. 

This race is a 1850m Time Trial, where single scullers will need to complete TWO 180 degree turns around two stakes/buoys. Scullers will be sent off at intervals of 30 seconds.

Please refer to the race course map for important information regarding the warm-up and racing traffic patterns, including no-passing zones and marshaling areas. 

Athletes who complete CHALLENGE #1: THE TRILLIUM BUY-IN, will receive a discounted entry fee for the Trillium Stake Race!
