There will be time trials at the beginning of each race day for any singles and doubles racing later that day.  Crews will row the course to determine their speed and will be placed in a “seeded final” with four boats of closest speeds.  Medals will be awarded as usual based on the time of race within each age class (ex: Mens Masters C 1x).

We anticipate that this system will provide all Masters the excitement of closely contested racing with others of like speed, while still providing Canadian Championship medals for the best performances in each Masters age category.

Details about the time trials, the seeded finals, awards and their modifications to the Lightweight, Novice, and Para events are in the FAQ Section.

Please check 'News' for more information and updates. A DRAFT SCHEDULE of what the event timing might look like has been posted to help athletes plan their events with the addition of Time Trials.
