We look forward to welcoming you to the 2024 RowOn Masters Festival!

The RowOn Masters Championships Regatta is an annual event for Masters athletes representing clubs in Ontario and beyond. The main objective of the event is to crown provincial champions in over 40 events, and to recognize athletes, coaches, and clubs, by providing a quality race experience for all Masters athletes.

This year, Row Ontario is excited to extend the Masters Championships into a two-day festival, featuring opportunities for socialization, networking, and training. After racing on Saturday, there will be an opportunity for the masters community to gather at a local pub for food, drinks, and conversation. Sunday will feature on-water and dryland training and learning opportunities, including:

  • Two on-water sessions, where athletes can row in their existing crews, or mix it up and row with athletes from other clubs, with the opportunity to get feedback from a coach other than their day-to-day club coach.
  • Pilates, with Kubet Weston - a great chance to limber up after a day of racing!
  • Interactive sessions on "hot topics" in masters rowing, including masters physiology and appropriate race warm-up, maintenance of mobility and strength as masters athletes, finding the optimal rowing/life balance through the different phases of life, and more!

Lunch and refreshments are included with registration. Registration is now open on the Row Ontario website.

Please feel free to reach out to Kate Savage with any questions.

Row Ontario is committed to delivering a fun and safe regatta and, as such, we recognize the importance of having experienced safety boat drivers on the course during training and racing. We are asking each participating Club to provide at least one volunteer safety boat driver. Volunteer shifts will be approximately 4.5 hours in length (8am-12:30pm, or 12:30pm-5pm), and volunteers must possess a valid Pleasure Craft Operators Card and be able to assist a crew on the water, should the need arise.

Volunteers will be provided with a lunch and thank you swag. Clubs will receive a $25 credit (per volunteer safety boat driver, per shift) towards club entry fees. Please contact Kate Savage at [email protected] to sign up and ensure your Club receives the credit.
