Hello and Welcome to the Head of the Christina 2019

We want to thank all the teams returning again to the regatta and thank the new teams or any who have been away for a few years and are back now.

That video is a good way to familiarize your coxies and bow seats with the course.  Speaking of coxswains we do allow and even encourage the use of experienced (non-novice) coxies in the novice races. 

The river has a good current and is tidal so it can be difficult to navigate if you are not on top of your game.

High Tide is at 6:54 AM

Low Tide is 1:36 PM

High Tide is 7:18 PM

The tide will be going out for the morning races and coming in in the afternoon

We have moved the finish line back to its original location this year as the construction that impeded the race last year has been removed. The course will be approximately 4200m from the 495 bridge to the 'engine room' at the end of the Shipyard Shops. 'Big Boats' (4+, 4x, 4x+, 8+) will launch from WYRA at 500 East Front St, and Small Boats will launch from WRC, at 501 A Street across the river. 

Please use the links to the left for specific information.  Be sure to know the regatta rules and things specific to the City of Wilmington.  Most importantly, NO GRILLS, there is to be no cooking or even using grills or other things to heat food.
