The 39th edition of the Canadian Indoor Rowing Championships was hosted virtually on Sunday January 30, 2022.  Competition was conducted on Concept2 RowErgs. Races will be held in "real time" using the TIME-TEAM Race Management platform.  This event is sanctioned by Rowing Canada Aviron.

As competition was  VIRTUAL, individuals raced from anywhere there was a stable internet connection and  access to a Concept2 Static Ergometer with a PM3, PM4 or PM5 monitor. CIRC welcomed competitors from all 5 continents and 23 countries.  Races were scheduled in Toronto,Canada (EASTERN STANDARD) time zone.  Thank-you to all competitors, volunteers and partners.  See RESULTS tab for link to Live Stream on Youtube.

Key points:.  

• Lightweights weighed in between two hours and one hour before their race.
• Entries were accepted up to 12:00 NOON (ET) on January 24, 2022.  No late entries were accepted.
• 4 Minute and 1 Minute races for Invictus and Soldier On (military veterans).
• Final Race times and the draw are posted here HEAT SHEET/DRAW.

CIRC is a Sanctioned Event in the Qualification for the 2022 World Rowing Indoor Championships.  Athletes can use their race scores to qualify for WRICH competition.  All CIRC Scores have been uploaded to World Rowing and can be used when you enter WRICH-Virtual 2022 before February 2.  Go to News tab on left for links.  World Rowing will do the ranking for the final entrants based on all sanctioned races.
