Lane Assignments
Boats seeding will be based upon the BoatID in RegattaCentral. The lower the boatID number, the higher the seed. For example, if a team has three entries in an event and the BoatID's are 249, 250, and 253. The 249 is the A, 250 is the B and 253 is considered the C boat. The BoatID's can be found in your regattacentral acount and are assigned in the order that you made entries.
For events with 7 or fewer entries, there will be one heat. Lanes will be drawn at random amongst "A" boats in the center lanes and then "B" boats and lower in the remaining outside lanes.
For events with more than 7 entries, Lanes will be drawn at random in the same manner with A boats drawn first and then B boats and so on. Flights will be organized according to seed when possible. If there are more than 7 "A"boat in a given event, then the A boats will be divided up amongst mutiple flights as equally as possible and at random, and the same for B boats and lower.
Point System
Men's and Women's high point trophies will be awarded according to the point structure below and attached to race schedule.

B boats do not score. Only the highest placing boat from each team scores points. A “B” entry can prevent another team from scoring but they do not score themselves. If a team has two entries in a race and finish 1st and 3rd for example, the 1st place boat gets 1st place points but the 3rd place boat does not get any points. No 3rd place points are awarded in this instance; the 4th place boat does not move up to score the 3rd place points.
Trophies
Men's and Women's high point trophies shall be awarded according to the point structure above.
Medals
Medals shall be awarded to first, second, and third place distributed at the conclusion of the regatta.
Side Note
To help the regatta run smoothly, it is important that your rowers not only know what event they are racing but also know their event number, lane assignment, and whether they are racing as the 'A', 'B', etc. boat.
