What is this event all about?

We are celebrating our 50th Anniversary of the club, having been founded in 1970.

For such a special year we had a lot of plans made, but like many other sporting events this year, we had to come up with something different.

In such a challenging year, we are reaching out to our rowing and indeed non-rowing family and are going to put on an event which uses technology to join us together.

Why is this something different from the other virtual regattas?

We all have missed time with our crews and we wish to make this event an opportunity for rowing clubs and gyms alike to compete in crews as well as singly.

We are using the state of the art technology provided by Concept2 and Time Team to link the rowing machines over the internet and allow crews again compete, in singles, doubles, quads, eights etc.

Who can take part ?

We are encouraging clubs and individuals from around the globe to compete. We are offering age categories from under 14 up to the 90+ masters age category. Para category also offered.

If you use a Concept2 machine in the gym, or home but are not a rower per se, you are very welcome.

If you are a coastal or off-shore rower, this is your chance to take part in a unified regatta with the river rowers.

I am new to Regatta Central, how do I register a crew?
