We are excited to host our all-inclusive, third annual Boats Without Barriers Regatta on Sunday, May 18, on the City of Oakland waterfront. The theme this year is “Diversity in Motion.” Boats Without Barriers has Masters rowing events for novices, adaptive rowers, men/male-identifying athletes, women/female-identifying athletes, and non-binary-identifying individuals. We see you, and we welcome you however you want to show up. 

This year, we have eliminated the familiar “Mixed” category in favor of “Open-Gendered.” The Mixed category has historically relied on and been subject to rules based on the assumption that there are only two genders. We recognize that gender is a spectrum, not a binary, and want to create space for all to compete as their authentic selves. We see you and we welcome you however you want to show up.

Waiver: All athletes must submit the linked EBRC waiver in order to compete. No athlete will be allowed to participate in the race without a signed and dated waiver. No exceptions!
