-Experienced crews from high school age on up are welcome to participate however NO NOVICE crews may enter this race.  

-Only rowing shells may compete and only open water rowing shells may compete in the single and double categories.  The quad, eight, and octuple categories are open to both open water and racing shells but any racing shell in the single and double events will be turned away at the dock. 

Safety:

Safety is our number one priority for this race.Taking into consideration the unpredictability of the Hudson River, it is mandatory for each boat to carry:

• PFDs for each rower (can be stored under each seat)
• A cell phone carried in a waterproof shell
• A bailing device (to be cleared by officials at launch time)
