About Crew

The Marietta High School Lindamood Cup Regatta will be held April 10, 2010.
Alumni are invited to row in a mixed 8 race that day.

The Lindamood Cup may well be one of the most prestigious Regattas in the Nation.

The Marietta High School Lindamood Cup Regatta was officially named in 1990 to honor
the founder of high school level rowing in Marietta, Coach Ralph Lindamood (1922-2001).
The regatta tradition in Marietta is much older, dating into the seventies. Lindamood is
a former head crew coach at Marietta College and founder of the Marietta High School
program in1964. He brought distinction to Marietta College's crew program both nationally
and internationally.

It has become a springtime tradition in Marietta to look for the many visiting crew teams
rowing up and down our section of the Ohio and Muskingum Rivers.

Although ours is not a USRA sanctioned event, we consistently provide USRA trained
officials and abide by scholastic racing regulations for our regatta.

Our own specially designed medals are awarded to crew members placing first, second and third.
