The Dallas Rowing Club held its first BLAST (Bachman Lake Annual Sprint Trials) in 1983 for colleges only.
Starting in 1986 a Masters Heavyweight 4X and a Masters Lightweight 4X became the breakthrough masters boats opening up the venue to other events.
Since then BLAST has evolved and is now host to high school/scholastic, juniors, open, and masters events.
This year marks the 28th anniversary of our celebrated event!
