Charlie Doyle Memorial Regatta

This race is over a 2000-meter course.

Entries: This is a sanctioned USRowing regatta.

All participating organizations must be active members of USRowing and must complete under their official membership name.

All competitors may participate in multiple events; however, competitors are responsible for allowing sufficient time to race in one event, land, and launch in time for additional event.

There are no mail-in entries. Please enter on-line at Regatta Central. Entries will be accepted up to midnight on Saturday, Sept 24th. Late entries can be requested by calling 937-307-1316 and, if accepted, are subject to a $15 fee per boat.

Masters competitors must submit dates of birth for all competitors during the entry process. Crews with missing or incomplete date of birth information will race as a 27-year-old rower. Handicaps will be applied for all boats using the standard USRowing handicaps.

Registration: Rowers and crew representatives must register and pick up their regatta packets on Saturday morning, October 1 beginning at 7:45 AM.A mandatory Coaches and Coxswains meeting will occur at 9:00 AM on Saturday, October 1. 

Bow markers must be affixed on the bow of the racing shell and pinned on the backs of your rower.  All shells must be equipped with a bow ball. Each set of shoes within the shell must be equipped with properly-secured heel tie-downs.Penalties will be applied for the following violations: Each buoy missed on the course; Shells without bow numbers; Purposely starting out of order or being late to the starting point; Failure to follow traffic rules in the launching, docking, start marshaling, or practice area; Unsportsmanlike conduct; Interfering with another shell during the race.

Awards: Medals will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place regardless of number of entries in the event.
