DIRECTIONS and PARKING

Caution – Travel in the Atlanta and I-85, I-75, I-285 Interstate areas on Friday afternoons is very congested.  If you are going through Atlanta to Gainesville it is suggested to schedule your through time no later than 2:00p.m. Friday afternoon or after 7:00p.m. Friday evening.  MapQuest or other computer mapping Websites may be able to suggest alternative routing.

DIRECTIONS

From North of Gainesville, Georgia via Interstate 85

  • I-85 South to Georgia Exit # 137, the US 129/GA 11 Exit, towards Gainesville / Jefferson
  • Keep right at the fork in the ramp
  • Turn right onto US 129 go approximately 19 miles to intersection of I-985 north.
  • Merge onto 1-985 North, go to Exit #24,
  • Keep left at the fork in the ramp, turn left onto GA 365,
  • Turn right onto Limestone Parkway, go 1 ½ miles
  • Turn Right onto GA 284, (Clarks Bridge Road at the Kangaroo service station)
  • Approximately 1 ½ miles to regatta site
  • Trailer parking on left, boathouse side

From South of Gainesville via Interstate 85

  • I-85 North through Atlanta or around Atlanta on I-285 to Exit #33, I-85 North
  • I-85 North to Exit # 113, the I-985 N/Lanier Parkway on left towards Gainesville
  • Merge onto 1-985 N., go 23.5 miles to Exit #24,
  • Keep left at the fork in the ramp, turn left onto GA 365,
  • Turn right onto Limestone Parkway, go 1 ½ miles
  • Turn Right onto GA 284, (Clarks Bridge Road at the Kangaroo service station)
  • Approximately 1 ½ miles to regatta site
  • Trailer parking on left, boathouse side

From North of Atlanta via Interstate 75

  • I-75 South to Exit # 259A, I-285 East towards Greenville/Augusta
  • Keep right at the fork in the ramp, ½ mile
  • Merge onto I-285 E, 12 miles to
  • Exit #33, I-85 North towards Greenville, 1 mile
  • Take I-85 North, Pleasantdale Road Exit on the left towards Greenville
  • Take the I-85 North exit on the left towards Greenville, ¼ mile
  • Merge onto I-85 N
  • I-85 North to Exit # 113, the I-985 N/Lanier Parkway on left towards Gainesville
  • Merge onto 1-985 N., go 23.5 miles to Exit #24,
  • Merge onto 1-985 N., go 23.5 miles to Exit #24,
  • Keep left at the fork in the ramp, turn left onto GA 365,
  • Turn right onto Limestone Parkway, go 1 ½ miles
  • Turn Right onto GA 284, (Clarks Bridge Road at the Kangaroo service station)
  • Approximately 1 ½ miles to regatta site

  • I-75 North to Exit # 226, I-675 to I-285 East “around” Atlanta to Exit #33, I-85 North
  • I-85 North to Exit # 113, the I-985 N/Lanier Parkway on left towards Gainesville
  • Merge onto 1-985 N., go 23.5 miles to Exit #24,
  • Merge onto 1-985 N., go 23.5 miles to Exit #24,
  • Keep left at the fork in the ramp, turn left onto GA 365,
  • Turn right onto Limestone Parkway, go 1 ½ miles
  • Turn Right onto GA 284, (Clarks Bridge Road at the Kangaroo service station)

PARKING

Coaches, Team Parents and Guests,

The 2012 John Hunter Regatta is our largest regatta ever. With limited parking on site, we have made arrangements for free shuttle bus parking at the Gainesville Middle School. There will be road signs along the way starting at Jesse Jewell Parkway and along Limestone Parkway directing drivers to the shuttle bus parking area.

In addition, there will be limited fee parking on site for drivers that want to park at the venue. Onsite parking will be $10.
