DIRECTIONS TO THE RACE SITE: The entrance to Grand River Park is across the street from the Dispatch Bar & Grill in Lansing. Please use the Dispatch to locate us on your GPS as our boathouse address usually does not show up!!! Coming From the North: Take US-127 South towards Lansing. As you get close to downtown Lansing take I-496 through the city. Get off of the expressway at the Lansing Rd Exit (Exit 4). Follow the exit ramp around until the concrete divider ends. Take a left at the end of the divider into Grand River Park. Follow the park drive to the left down to the parking area near the public boat launch and the Michigan Princess Riverboat. Coming From the South: Take US-127 North towards Lansing. As you get close to downtown Lansing take I-496 through the city. Get off of the expressway at the Lansing Rd Exit (Exit 4). Follow this all the way to I-496 West intodowntown Lansing. Get off onto the Waverly Rd Exit (Exit 3). Turn Right off the exit ramp onto Waverly Road. Follow Waverly to the second large intersection and take a left onto Old Lansing Road. Turn left at the end of Old Lansing Road onto Lansing Road. The entrance to Grand River Parkcomes up quickly on your Right hand side. Follow the park drive to the left down to the parking area near thepublic boat launch and the Michigan Princess Riverboat Coming From the West: Take I-69 East toward Lansing. Get onto I-96 West toward Lansing and Grand Rapids. Very quickly you will get onto I-496 East toward downtown Lansing. Get off onto the Waverly Rd Exit (Exit3). Turn Right off the exit ramp onto Waverly Road. Follow Waverly to the second large intersection and take a left onto Old Lansing Road. Turn left at the end of Old Lansing Road onto Lansing Road. Or take I- 96 East toward Lansing. Get onto I-496 East toward downtown Lansing(this is just passed the I-96 / I-69 Interchange). Get off onto the Waverly Rd Exit (Exit3). Turn Right off the exit ramp onto Waverly Road.Follow Waverly to the second largeintersection and take a left onto Old Lansing Road.Turn right at the end of Old Lansing Road onto Lansing Road. Trailer Parking:The boat trailers will take the gravel trail that leads behind the boathouses and will either be parked on this trail or in the area between the first and second boathouses (MSU Club & LRC) depending upon the weather. Teams can set up their boats in the fields around the boathouses and their tents along the river. Please do not block paths out of the boathouse and to the docks. Spectator parking:Spectators can park in the main lot by the public boat launch. They can also park in the field on the hill just above this lot which is usually used for parking for the Michigan Princess. There is plenty of parking in both of these places so please do not block the main drive. ONLY TRUCKS & TRAILERS WILL BE ALLOWED DOWN THE TRAIL BEHIND THE BOATHOUSES ON THE DAY OF THE REGATTA.
