Spectators: There is significant space available for spectators at the venue. We request that spectators avoid the parking lot/launching area whenever possible to avoid congestion. Spectators will not be allowed on the docks/beach launch area. There is no admission fee, but parking for the day will cost $10 per car.
Bathroom Facilities: There will be porta-potties available at several locations along the course.
Results: Results will be posted on boards at the boathouse. Complete results will be available after the regatta at www.row2k.com.
Parking: Parking will be available in the lot across the street from the bathhouse. Spectators should not park in the Dunkin Donuts lots or on the street, or the parking lots next to the boathouse or bathhouse. The street nearest the boathouse will be reserved for shell trailers and tow vehicles ALL DAY - inform your parents NOT to park there under any circumstances! Parking in the boathouse lot will be restricted to shell trailers. Shell trailers will be instructed how to park on arrival. All trailers should be angled in the same direction the lot (as directed) and parked without extraneous space in between.
Launching and Landing Shells:
- All crews should plan to allow 30 minutes to get to the starting line.
- Crews will not be allowed to launch more than 45 minutes before their race start time.
- Crews should launch their shells as quickly as possible; maximum time on the dock will be restricted to 2 minutes per crew. There should be 2 helpers carrying oars to the rowers.
- Upon crossing the finish line, crews should clear the course as quickly as possible and proceed back to the docks along the shore. Crews hot-seating shells should notify the dockmaster on their approach to the dock.
- Approaches to and from the docks must be kept clear. Spectators are not allowed on the dock or along the wall or paved area in the approach to the docks.
Traffic Pattern: Crews should remain along the boathouse shore when traveling to the starting line. Once crews have reached the marshaling area, a counter-clockwise traffic pattern will be enforced.
First Aid Location: There will be EMTs at the boathouse.
Shell Storage: There is no rack space available at this venue. All crews should bring their own blocks/slings.
Garbage Removal: Please deposit all trash in closed garbage bags and place along the side of the road at the end of the regatta.
