Hi Everyone,

With the Head of the Christina a week away, just want to give everyone as much information as possible before the regatta.  The coaches and coxswain meeting will be upstairs at the WYRA boathouse at 8:30 AM.  Races begin at 10:00 AM. All the events are up on Regatta Central.  For the course itself, we will have orange buoys along the entire course. The white buoys will be obstacles and the green buoys will be to help around turns.  We will have larger buoys for the chute, at the starting line, and finish line.

Penalties will be as follow: 10 Seconds for a Missed Buoy; 30 Seconds for Failure to Yield; 45 Seconds for Interference, 60 Seconds if you go through a wrong bridge arch.

All protests must be on the water and addressed to the finish line official.

All boats arriving via car-top will be going to Wilmington Rowing Center. WRC is not at the Shipyards anymore. Please note the new address at the bottom of the page. All singles and doubles that can arrive at WRC need to do so. There is no parking available in the WRC lot.  However, there will be a drop off/pick up area at the lot. Please have slings and anything you need ready. There is plenty of space on the road to park very close still.  All larger trailers should arrive at WYRA, unless previously discussed with WRC. There is no room for Parent Tents along the WRC side of the river. All Parent tents must be on the WYRA side of the river.  We offer a wide arrangement of food at the regatta, since it is a Wilmington City/Riverfront Ordinance that you cannot grill without a permit.  

The WYRA and adjacent parking lots are only for trailers, designated referee, Vendor, and EMT parking. Everyone else should park at the parking building across from the Train station on M.L.King Blvd. Cost for the day is $3.00. A Regatta parking sign will be outside the entrance.  Delaware Distance Classic @ 15K & 5K will be along the Riverwalk and along Front Street the day of the regatta as well.  The run will start at 9:00 AM, and runners will be on Front Street approximately around 9:35-10:15 AM.  The road will be closed to all traffic. Please plan accordingly and let your teams know. I will send out a final email when the registration deadline passes and the schedule is finished.

From I-95 North, take Exit 6 (Maryland Ave.) then follow signs for Martin Luther King, Jr, Boulevard

From I-95 South, take Exit 6 (MLK Jr Boulevard) , you need to be in middle or right lanes, make a left onto MLK Boulevard, then stay right past the Amtrak Station.
