Directions

From the South:

I 75 North into Detroit.;  Pass through a good part of Detroit and Exit South onto I 375 South (toward Civic Center);   Stay right, Exit to Jefferson Ave (after exit up ramp cross two stop lights, third set is Jefferson Ave.,  turn/follow road to Left—you are now on Jefferson Ave. East);

Common  Directions after get to Jefferson Ave and I 375:

 Follow Jefferson Ave. East  about 2 ½ miles, you will see a large vacant area on your right, next to the river.  Stay in the right lane and turn right across the Belle Isle bridge.  As bridge empties onto the Island follow signs or bear left around a large curve, bear left again and you are on a long straight street.  Trailer area and boat launch are at the Belle Isle beach.  Continue on the long street, pass a monument in the center of a 4 way stop.  Continue until you come to the Zoo on the right.  Take the last left before you would enter what appears to be a woods over a small bridge if you kept going straight—you can see the woods and bridge ahead when you need to turn left.  Go to the 1^st street which is one way to the left.  You can see the bath house for the beach and a parking area around it to your left front.  Cars can park in the lot,  Trailers will park on the grass just down from the bath house.

From the West:

I 96 East into Detroit to I 75 North (actually going East at this point but signs say North);  to I 375 South.  Stay right, Exit to Jefferson Ave (after exit up ramp cross two stop lights, third set is Jefferson Ave.,  turn/follow road to Left—you are now on Jefferson Ave. East);   Follow common directions (above).

Or

I 94 East into Detroit, exit to M 10/John C. Lodge Expressway South; to I 75 North (actually going East at this point but signs say North); to I 375 South;  Stay right, Exit to Jefferson Ave (after exit up ramp cross two stop lights, third set is Jefferson Ave.,  turn/follow road to Left—you are now on Jefferson Ave. East);   Follow common directions (above).

From the North:

I 75 South into Detroit; continue South and Follow I 375 South where it branches from I 75 South; Stay right, Exit to Jefferson Ave (after exit up ramp cross two stop lights, third set is Jefferson Ave.,  turn/follow road to Left—you are now on Jefferson Ave. East);  Follow common directions (above).

Or

M 10/John C. Lodge Expressway South; to I 75 North (actually going East at this point but signs say North); to I 375 South;  Stay right, Exit to Jefferson Ave (after exit up ramp cross two stop lights, third set is Jefferson Ave.,  turn/follow road to Left—you are now on Jefferson Ave. East);   Follow common directions (above).
