In 2010, members of the Peddie Rowing Teams were feeling a little misunderstood by their peers.  They decided that the best way for people to appreciate the hard work and dedication it took to be a rower was to let people give it a try!  Thus the creation of the Peddie Erg Challenge.The novice events were filled with friends from other sports and some of Peddie's younger faculty members.  The "Double" event was filled with faculty/student teams.  The result of the day was a basketball player being recruited to row in college and a newfound appreciation by members of the community for the term "lactate tolerance."  Fun was had by all and a tradition was begun!
