The University of Minnesota Men’s Crew is proud to announce the revival of The North Star Challenge regatta!
The North Star Challenge is a collegiate-focused head race style regatta to be held on the Mississippi River in Minneapolis, MN on Saturday, October 31 from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
Note: Participants must be at least 18 years old.
Regatta features:

Efficient schedule allowing crews to share equipment between novice & varsity races

Relatively low cost entry fees

Great viewing of the finish line as well as other points along the course

1st place awards for each event

Open events for area adult rowing clubs
Waivers and Lineups
- We have extended the due date for lineups and waivers until Thursday, October 29th.
- We will be sending out UMN Paper Waivers later in the week. These paper waivers will be collected on the day of the regatta.
Trailer Parking
- Trailers should be parked to the south east side of the UMN Boathouse

- Trailers can be parked on Friday evening. We have not hired private security and cannot guarantee safety of the equipment but UMN Campus and Minneapolis Park Police regularly patrol the area around the boathouse. (note: We regularly park our trailer full of boats outside of the boathouse.) If needed, you may store any valuable tool boxes or other small items in the boathouse overnight.
