Directions to the Head of the Hudson
From the Adirondack Northway (from I-87 North of Albany)
Take Exit 7 off of I-87 South
Get on NY-7 East-Troy
Take the exit for I-787 South
Stay on I-787 South for approximately 7 miles
Go under the I-90 Interstate
Take the first exit past I-90 / "Colonie and Columbia Streets"
TRAILERS: parking lot entrance comes up quickly on your left, just after you exit the interstate. If you miss the first one, there is another entrance just beyond, also on your left.
CARS look for signs directing them to Regatta Parking.
From the East (from MA-2, VT-9, US-7)
VT-9 becomes NY-7; MA-2 becomes NY-2.
US-7 runs North/South and crosses VT-7 and MA-2 just East of the NY border.
Take either NY-2 or NY-7 West. Where NY-2 splits into NY-2 and 278, take 278 until you merge with NY-7.
Follow NY-7 through the city of Troy, NY
Cross over the Hudson River and get on I-787 South
Stay on I-787 South for approximately 7 miles
Go under the I-90 interstate
Take the first exit past I-90 / "Colonie and Columbia Streets"

From the NY Thruway and Points South (from I-87 south of Albany)
Take the Thruway to Exit 23
Get on I-787 North
Take the exit for Downtown Albany (Routes 9 and 20)
Keep to the right, staying close to the river
This road will pass under the Railroad Bridge
TRAILERS take the next right into the parking lot.
CARS should look for signs directing them to Regatta Parking.
From I-90 East (from Boston) or West (from Buffalo) of Albany
Coming from Buffalo, you must take exit at Exit 24, and continue on I-90 EAST from there.
From Boston, after leaving the Mass Pike, you must exit at Exit B1 in NY, and stay on I-90 WEST from there.
Get off I-90 at the exit for I-787 South
Stay on I-787 for approximately 100 yards
Take the "Colonie and Columbia Streets" exit
TRAILERS: parking entrance comes up quickly on your left, just after you exit the interstate. If you miss it, there is another entrance just beyond it, also on your left.
