Bayada Regatta

  • Hosted By: Philadelphia Adaptive Rowing PAR

General information

  • Rowers and helpers may begin downloading and filling out all necessary documents now, even if you are not sure which races you want to be in. Be sure to 'Join Now' and create an account with your club affiliation, and other important information (name, address, phone, etc) on this site if you have never used regatta central before.
  • Competitors (or team coaches) must enter races online by selecting 'my entries' from the bar on the left, and following the prompts. (you will be asked to select a rank - this can be 'A' for all participants). Be sure that for double events, only one person from the pair is making the entry for that boat. You must be registered on regatta central by selecting 'registration form' from the bar on the left before entries can be made.
  • Registration ends on August 25th. There is no fee for timely registration. Late registrants must contact the assistant dock master ([email protected]) to be given access for late registration, and a $10 late fee will be required. In addition, PRPD has a number of documents (including it's own registration form) that should be filled out and mailed in. Participants whose required documents are not postmarked by August 29th will be charged an additional $15 late fee. Absolutely no applications will be accepted after August 31st. Please visit all sections of this website for information about Bayada Jolly-Up and Banquet, PRPD Ad Book Forms, Bayada Regatta History, etc.

Please remember the following when selecting races:

  • You may enter your top two (2) choices.
  • Most rowers will only row one (1) time.
  • Rowers may only row in one (1) open double event, and if you chose an open double event, you may not row in any other race.
  • Male able bodied rowers are not allowed to row in a boat with a female disabled rower.
  • When signing up for more than one race, you must allow for two races in between your selections. (if you are unable to do so, please bring this to the attention of the dock master by emailing Judy at [email protected])
  • The final decision for races will be made by the dockmasters.

 Definitions of event types:

  • 'Open' double event = 1 disabled rower and 1 able bodied rower, same gender
  • All other adaptive double event = 2 disabled rowers, same gender (if you choose to set up your boat with mixed gender, you must enter the 'men's' event).
  • Single = 1 disabled rower
  • 4+ = 4 disabled rowers in one boat using sweep oars, 2 males and 2 females, and a cox
  •  Recreational events are for novice rowers who are competing in their first regatta, or generally compete only once a year.
  •  Intermediate events are for rowers who compete more than once a year, and/or have competed in multiple Bayada Regattas.

For most, but not all, events, you may choose a 'recreational'  or an 'intermediate' subdivision. All 'open' events are recreational. Please review the definitions above when choosing your subdivision. If you are not sure which subdivision to select, speak with your coach or contact Judy Morrision at [email protected] .

Please make sure you have printed and filled out the following documents, and returned them to Judy Morrison at: 521 Nolf Rd, Nazareth, PA 18064

Able-bodied helpers do not need to fill out 'disibility evaluation' and 'equipment profile'. Please remember to indicate on registration form if you would like to row.
